Environment studies center seeks science officer

The science officer will serve at a new research center based in Beijing.

A new research center established by The Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment (SCOPE) and the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is seeking a highly qualified full-time science officer.

The announcement is available on the SCOPE website and through the SCOPE journal Environmental Development. The application form can be requested at: secretariat@scopenvironment.org. Deadline for applications is 15 July.

SCOPE is an interdisciplinary body of natural and social science expertise engaged in analysis of emerging environmental challenges and opportunities caused by or impacting on humans and the environment. Among its goals is reviewing the current scientific understanding of environmental issues with the purpose of identifying priorities for future research. Its programme is a science-driven agenda relevant to policy development and resource management.
